This painting was my first meeting with oil paint. My friend and I took the same photograph as a model for our oil lion painting. While mine turned out to be a friendly, almost purring feline, my friend's lion ended up with blood around the mouth and a dead gnu in the background. Funny to see the different interpretations of the same model! |
