The style of this painting is rather unusual for me, and the proces of painting it was a good lesson in creating a painting that doesn't "speak" to me like e.g. the doors did. Also, the size of the painting was a bit of a challenge, it could hardly fit on my easel at home. The painting was a gift for a friend's daughter-in-law, it shows their newly decorated living room with the view on the terrace and her beloved cat. They are young people with a rather modern and minimalistic taste, and fortunately, the painting had turned out as they had imagined. It is located at their house in Denmark. |
